STBA is an idea, a movement created by the brilliant minds who first established the South Texas Merchants Association. With those years of experience, a business alliance has been formed that offers discounted programs and services to the small business community of San Antonio and surrounding areas.

What are the fees associated with STBA?
Annual subscription fee is $400 and will be collected up front. What are the requirements to join STBA? It is open to all businesses, see enrollment application for additional details. Business will need to have 1 spanner available and 3 posters available. TV and Box media can be provided at additional cost, 1 TV already owned, only box will be provided at no additional cost What comes with STBA?
How long is the subscription? Renewable on Annual Basis Do you need a subscription for every store or can you have it for multiple stores? Each store will need its own subscription How many subscriptions can one person have? There is no limitation How long will it take to receive products once i sign up from vendors? Upon approval of your application, STBA will send all relevant information to its vendors. Once your information is updated which typically takes 24 to 72 hours. You should expect a sale rep within 2 weeks to take your orders. Any pre-existing contracts with the preferred vendors will be subject to a update period, however deliver schedules are not affected. |
Is there a Fee for Cancellation?
No, you'll just need to call the office, fill out the cancellation form and the STBA membership will cancel immediately. Vendor cancellation can take up to two weeks to stop. Media box will need to be returned upon cancellation. Can I change a planogram? Minor adjustments can be made in the field with approval from the vendor, however our planogram is designed to maximize profitability. What happens if I fall out of Compliance? You'll be visited by our compliance team once a quarter and they will notify you if there are any changes needed with a time frame on when to accomplish those changes. Will I still be able to run my business as I see fit? Yes, your business will still operate normally under your supervision Will STBA change any aspect of my business? No, STBA will only provide products and services for the business all other operations will be done to your specifications. Can we buy outside of the preferred vendor list? STBA requires its members to purchase products from preferred vendors. However, anything outside of this scope is managed by a case by case basis. Can I strictly buy from the warehouse and still get the same vendor (DSD) rebates? No, rebates from the warehouse program are different from the vendor (DSD) rebate programs. Will I start getting rebates during the same quarter I sign up? In most cases rebates require a 90 day period before payout. therefore you will receive rebate for the next quarter. What is the frequency of delivery from vendors (DSD) program? All of the vendors have their own schedules for deliveries ranging from twice a week to twice a month. If I order from the warehouse how long does it take to get delivery? The warehouse delivery has set routes for all zip codes with at least a once a week delivery option. |
